Graceful racemes of deep orange flowers in early summer. Lilium pumilum forms clusters of 7 to 25 fragrant, 2" wide, glowing red-orange, nodding Turk's cap flowers blooming atop 18-24" tall stems. Narrow, grass-like leaves are whorled around the stems. Plant in a well drained, moisture retentive soil. Lime tolerant. Lilium pumilum is a smaller proportioned species Lily ideal for planting towards the front of a border, in a cottage garden, or meadow setting.
