An extremely prostrate form of the native Sand Cherry named by the Arnold Arboretum for the famed Connecticut horticulturist. Slender foliage has an attractive bluish-white underside and turns a bright red in fall. In early spring, the naked branches are wreathed with multides of tiny white flowers followed in summer by dark red fruits. Uniquely interesting shrubby groundcover. Well drained soil.
