Ruffled gold flowers with red-orange markings and a gold center open from burgundy buds. Semi-double and single flowers are produced in late spring to early summer, each measuring 1 to 1-1/4" wide. Blooms are held on wiry stems above an attractive foliage base. Foliage is evergreen in its more southern range. Vigorous hybrid. Rich, moist soil is ideal, but they will also grow in average soil. After they bloom the foliage expands and forms very dense, rounded clumps that look handsome and suppress weeds.
Use Geum 'Alabama Slammer' in the front of a border, edging a path, or in a cottage garden.
