Compact growing, refined Coneflower was named for the beautiful yellow Cleopatra Butterfly. Yellow flowers with a large, orange cone and horizontal petals are produced on very strong, well-branched stems from mid to late summer. Mature blooms lighten to creamy yellow. Use in middle of the border.
Grow Echinacea, also known as Coneflower, in a border, cottage or butterfly garden, or in a natural-type planting mingled with grasses and native plants. Plant in well drained soils. Drought tolerant when established. Deer resistant, attracts butterflies and song birds, and makes a long lasting cut flower.
