Abundant pink and raspberry flowers on upright panicles float well above the handsome foliage. Long spurs and bright yellow anthers add to the appeal. Elongated, medium-sized arrow-shaped leaflets have a purple mottling against a green background. Evergreen. Epimedium 'Pink Champagne' is a vigorous grower; it is even known to rebloom when conditions are to its liking.
Spring-blooming Epimedium are delicate looking plants with a strong constitution, tolerating deep shade and tree root competition. Ideally they enjoy well drained, organic soil with even moisture, but they are also drought resistant when established, making them a great choice for dry shade. Very appealing, refined foliage. A long-lived perennial for the front of a shady bed, as a groundcover, or in woodland gardens. Deer resistant. Epimedium are also known as Barrenwort, Bishop's Hat, or Fairy Wings.
