Periwinkle blue flowers held by dark purple calyxes. Nepeta 'Purrsian Blue' is a very floriferous selection whose flower power is amplified by its having its flowers spaced closely together on the stems. Blooms from late spring to early fall. Tidy habit, densely branched to form a compact mounded clump. Tiny, green, aromatic leaves. Nepeta attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. Deer resistant, drought tolerant. Use in borders, in mass, or butterfly gardens. Very good to hide fading spring bulb foliage. Nepeta is a favorite of ours to complement Peonies. Nepeta x faassenii are sterile hybrids so they do not seed around in the garden.
