Bright pink blooms on upright stems that are nicely branched to hold extra flowers! Forms a large, tight and upright plant that blooms so heavily, it could be mistaken for an Azalea from a distance. The 10-12" tall clump of foliage turns satiny purple-black in the fall and winter, making a gorgeous foil for the early to mid spring blooms. Foliage greens up as the season progresses.
Bergenia have semi-evergreen, leathery, glossy foliage that is the perfect backdrop for the abundance of flowers. Grow in mass plantings, containers, or along the front of a border. Very tolerant of soil conditions, but does prefer good drainage. Deer resistant.
