Bright chartreuse spring foliage has prominent, deep red centers, then matures to jade green with a deep purple center. In late spring, spikes of light pink buds appear above the foliage, opening into creamy white, lightly fragrant, star-like blossoms that fill the 12-14" scapes. Tiarella 'Jade Peacock' forms a very densely compact clump that stays put in the garden. Provides wonderful interest to a container.
Tiarellas grow best in organic, moisture retentive soil. Evergreen in milder zones, the foliage turns deep mahogany purple with a black center in winter.
Tiarella 'Jade Peacock' is a Proven Winners® selection.
