Dwarf selection of the stunning native Bottlebrush Buckeye. Midsummer blooms with beautiful upright panicles of tubular white flowers that have red anthers and pinkish filaments. Striking palmate green leaves turn yellow in fall. From Dawes Arboretum. Since it is still under evaluation, it is currently known by its provisional name, (noted by the brackets), it will most likely be assigned a cultivar name in the future. Original plant at Dawes is 5' tall after approximately 30 years. A very desirable plant for its smaller size and for providing its striking blooms when few other shrubs do.
