Striking silvery blue stems in summer, then in fall this grass turns a deep wine purple color. Tiny silvery-tan seed heads appear on the top half of the stems in early fall. Schizachyrium 'Blue Paradise' is a selection of our native grass known as Little Bluestem. The habit is very upright and columnar, and it maintains this upright habit through fall. At 3-1/2' tall, this grass is easy to find a place for in the border, massed with other grasses, or as part of a naturalized area. Beautiful and durable. Drought tolerant when established. Deer resistant.
