Helleborus 'First Dance' bears 2 to 2-1/2" double flowers that range from bright yellow to a softer yellow with a maroon picotee edge and veining. From Hans Hansen; he selects for plants with notable vigor, showy floral displays with large numbers of blossoms per plant, and rich flower colors. Hardy to zone 4b (the southern half of zone 4).
Helleborus, also known as Hellebore or Lenten Rose, have very early spring blooms and handsome, leathery foliage. Plant in borders or a woodland edge. Give light to moderate shade for best flowering. Tolerant of heat and humidity, and when established, drier conditions. Highly deer resistant.
