Sweet and petite. True pink double flowers are 1-1/4 to 1-1/2" wide with a subtle darker pink eye. Dianthus 'Sweetie Pie' is incredibly floriferous; the flowers completely cover the silvery blue-green foliage when in bloom. The flowers stand like mini carnations above a short mound of evergreen foliage in early summer. A quick shearing after flowering will encourage them to rebloom in early fall. Fragrant. Deer resistant. Low maintenance and drought tolerant when established. Tolerant of high temperatures and resists center die-out. Attracts butterflies, makes a cute cut flower. Grow at the front of beds and borders, in containers, and in cottage and rock gardens. A Proven Winners® selection.
