Large, vivid rose pink spring blooms have an interior of solid medium pink. Blooms are comprised of nine broad tepals for excellent presence in the garden. Long bloomer, for up to six weeks; quite floriferous; blooms later in the Magnolia season. The later bloom period helps reduce the risk of damage to flowers from spring frosts. The parentage of Magnolia 'Rose Marie' is M. 'Pink Surprise x M. 'Daybreak'. Hybridized by Wisconsin plantsman Dennis Ledvina. Grown on own roots. Matures to approximately 12-18' tall and 8-10'wide. The lovely blooms remind us of waterlilies.
