Semi-double orange blooms with shorter petals above full size petals for an attractive layered look. Geum 'Coppertone Punch' starts blooming in late April or May and continues for three to four weeks or more. The plants form a 10" tall clump of semi-evergreen foliage. These hybrid plants are longer lived than the older chiloense varieties of Geum. Rich, moist, well-drained soil is ideal, but Geums will also grow in average soil. Nice at the front of the border or along walkways, with colorful blooms on wiry stems plus the handsome clumps of foliage are very attractive and suppress weeds.
